4 Ways to Celebrating Pancake Day in Style

Finally, Pancake Day (everyone’s favourite holiday of the year!) is almost here – which means it’s time to decide where you want to be for it. Whether you’re a classic lemon and sugar kind of person, or you enjoy going for a wildcard in the world of savoury pancakes, Manchester has plenty of incredible places that’ll serve up some of the best pancakes you will have tasted. So, in true fashion, we’ve put together some of our favourite options for you – and made ourselves incredibly hungry in the process. Enjoy!

Home Sweet

Found on Edge Street in the Northern Quarter, Home Sweet has rebranded from the original institution, Home Sweet Home. It’s starting its new, fresh chapter with a bang, having redecorated and developed a whole new menu – offering breakfast, brunch, and dinners, along with some incredible-sounding pancake options. With both sweet and savoury on the menu, we can’t choose between caramelised banana or smoked streaky bacon!

The Koffee Pot

On Oldham Street, The Koffee Pot is a perfect choice for anyone preferring a more traditional vibe in their café experiences. Offering the classic fry-ups along with an exciting array of veggie and vegan alternatives, there are plenty of options for any dietary restrictions. They also have a range of savoury and sweet pancakes on offer, but if you ask us, you can’t go wrong picking their Vegan Sweet Stack.

Café North

Café North on Shudehill is a great option as they offer delivery via UberEats and Deliveroo as well as sit-in dining, meaning if you fancy breakfast in bed on Pancake Day, you can do just that! Café North has a very unique menu, ranging from the typical banana and Nutella to blueberry pancakes with maple syrup. What would you prefer?

Brunch Café

Open for 18 hours a day, the Brunch Café on Houldsworth Street is ideal for anyone looking for pancakes at an unconventional time. Whether you want a catch-up with friends during the day or looking for some late-night dining, this is a perfect choice. It’s also regularly featured on the ‘best brunch option’ lists for Greater Manchester residents, so you know that it’s got to be good.

No matter what sort of Pancake Day treat you’re craving, you’ll find an impressive range of options across Manchester. If you’re feeling brave, why not try and make your own?
