Transport
Located in Old Trafford, Westpoint is a stone’s throw from Manchester city centre. A 5-minute stroll from your apartment will bring you to Trafford Bar Tram Stop, and thanks to Manchester’s award-winning transport options, there are regular trams heading towards the city centre. Deansgate/Castlefield tram stop is a mere two stops down the line, effortlessly bringing you into the heart of the city.
If you’re a student at The University of Manchester, or Manchester Metropolitan University your commute is just as easy – a short walk to Henry Street will bring you to the 263 Sapphire bus route (towards Piccadilly Gardens). A quick bus journey later, you’ll disembark at Oxford Road, home to both University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Gym
Luckily for you, Westpoint residents have free access into our on-site gym. If you’re in training, or looking for more specialist facilities however, the Chester Centre at Stretford Sports Village is your place to go. With a 25m pool and countless badminton courts, The Chester Centre great option to get more out of your workout.

Pharmacy
Feeling under the weather? Elliott’s Pharmacy is your closest stop for all things medicinal, with the added bonus of being less than a 10-minute walk away.
Supermarkets & convenience stores
For local amenities, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Your closest shop is Select Convenience Store; complete with your local Post Office inside. Just down the road you’ll find Iceland, World Food Supermarket, Aldi and Tesco.
Pub
Local pubs are scattered around the Westpoint area, but the most notable is The Tollgate – the recently refurbished pub is directly opposite Trafford Bar Metrolink station. Within walking distance of Old Trafford and the Cricket Grounds, it’s the ultimate pre-match pint destination for United fans, so you can always expect an electric atmosphere.
Hair Salons
Boombae Creative Studios and Tony’s barbershop are each within walking distance of Westpoint, both are locally trusted and recommended salons for men and women within the area.
Eating Out
As Westpoint is situated close to MediaCityUK, countless food options are on your doorstep; from Pret a Manger to The Alchemist and Wagamama, the ever-evolving Media City is home to some of the best food, drink and entertainment options in Manchester.

Outside Spaces
We know the importance of connecting with nature, and within Westpoint’s local area there are plenty of nearby opportunities for that. Ordsall Park in Salford is one of the closest, the vast green space has an astroturf pitch, outdoor gym equipment and even a community garden. You also have Seymour park on your doorstep, a well-kept space complete with a football pitch and basketball courts.
