Sicilian NQ

Specialising in some of the best gelato outside of Italy, this stunning little spot in the Northern Quarter is a great place to stop off on your walk through the city for a sweet treat. Offering up the classic Italian flavours like pistachio and Stracciatella, they also have the fan favourites of strawberry, cherry, and vanilla – all with the exciting option of being served in a brioche bun instead of a cone. Tasty? We know.

Black Milk

Black Milk is also located in the Northern Quarter and is one of the OG’s of desserts in the city, having been serving up some truly unreal flavours since its opening in 2015. Offering freakshakes, as well as typical ice cream in cones or tubs, their oreo cheesecake flavour has definitely caught our eye and our tastebuds.

What The Pitta

While technically not an ice cream parlour, we HAD to tell you about this one. What The Pitta in the Northern Quarter has introduced the first vegan soft-serve in the city, topped with a vegan wafer and various tasty toppings – so for those vegans who miss soft-serve ice cream and it’s silky smooth texture, then this is the place for you.

Ice Shack

An all-vegan desserts parlour in Withington, Ice Shack have really nailed their menu, especially on the ice cream front. Offering up the choice between ice cream and sorbet, we’re absolutely obsessed with their flavours. Maple, marzipan, and cinnamon? We’re drooling at the thought!

The Allotment Vegan Eatery

Offering more than just ice cream, this all-vegan eatery has got plenty on the menu to try. The desserts do look incredible though – sticky toffee and ice cream sounds like a perfect combo to us!

Ginger's Comfort Emporium

Found on the top floor in Afflecks, Ginger's offer a huge range of flavours; some traditional, some less so. Specials will change throughout the year, but they’re currently offering a chocolate, ginger, and rosemary combo which caught our eye – or for those feeling a little less adventurous, maybe fig leaf and apple is the way to go?

Bringing the flavours of the tropics to Manchester, Lazy Sundae offers a range of exciting, Asian-inspired creations. Some are well-known flavours, such as matcha and brown sugar, but the peach tea sorbet and earl grey Biscoff options have really caught our eye!
