3 Festive Activities To Try In Newcastle
We’re getting right into the festive season now, and we’re on the hunt for some of the best Christmassy activities across the toon. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing walk to check out some stunning décor, want to try your hand at some creative activities, or want to kick back and enjoy some carols, we’ve got some great options for you.
Northern Lights Light Trail
We absolutely love heading out for a light trail, and this one is no different. Pop on down to Leazes Park to enjoy some absolutely spectacular décor, including some great photo opportunities and lights that will take your breath away. It’s running up until 31st December, so you’ve got plenty of time to check this out, but tickets are selling fast. We can’t wait to get check out the Rainbow Road section!
Sip & Paint
We love a Sip & Paint sesh any time of year, but especially around Christmas. These events are great as any level of experience is welcome, it’s all about having fun and enjoying the atmosphere with friends or family, and you get to take your painting home afterwards to keep that memory. There are multiple dates available, so you can work around your schedule – we’ll absolutely be heading down for one of these sessions.
Candlelight Concerts
We firmly believe that everyone should attend a candlelight concert at least once, and why not do it at Christmas? There’s a few different options, so whether you want to enjoy some Christmas classics, get into the newer Christmas pop songs, or go for Christmas movie soundtracks, there’s plenty to choose from. These nights really blow us away, and cannot recommend these events enough.
