3 Ways To Celebrate National Fitness Day in Newcastle
National Fitness Day is getting closer, so we’re starting to stretch out and prepare to jump right into it. Whether you’re a fitness fanatic or looking to make some minor changes for a healthier lifestyle, you can get involved this National Fitness Day and enjoy getting active.
One for the Walkers
Newcastle is an absolutely stunning area to walk around, so whether you’re thinking a gentle mooch along the Tyne or a full hike up Pennine Way, you’ve got plenty of options. Not everyone is ready to take a full-day hike, we get it, so if you’re just starting out, we’d recommend a light walk down the river and exploring some of the pubs and shops along the way to give yourself a break. There are plenty of stunning views along the way – this is our choice this National Fitness Day.
One for the Cyclers
There’s nothing like a good old cycle to get the blood pumping and enjoy the fresh air. The toon has plenty to offer when it comes to cycling routes, but our favourite is to head over to Heaton Park and cycle down to Jesmond Dene. It can get busy, but that goes to show that it’s the place to be. You’ll get in some great views, and avoid too many hills – so no jelly legs by the time you’re home.
One for the Gym-Goers
While getting out for some exercise is always nice, the settling in for an intense session at the gym will always be the go-to option for most people looking to boost their fitness. There’s so many options, so whether you want to get into HIIT classes, pick up some boxing gloves, or just move some big weights, you can do it all right here in the City Co-Living Newcastle gym and fitness studio.
