If you’re looking for somewhere to kick back, relax, and enjoy a cheeky caffeine hit, we’ve got you covered. Newcastle is full of great little coffee shops, but we’ve picked out a few of our favourites so that when you head into toon, you know exactly where to go.
Tiny Tiny is an award-winning independent coffee business, and is the perfect place for anyone who fancies themselves a bit of a coffee enthusiast. They’re known for their cortados and their nitro cold brews, but they’ve got plenty of other options on the menu for you to sample and see what gets you going.
They also have a delicious spread of brunch options, including some of the tastiest french toast we’ve ever had smothered in smoked bacon, blueberry compote, and vanilla cream topped with maple syrup and banana chips. Have we made you hungry? We’re hankering for a slice of that toast right now!
Welcome to Olive and Bean, a spacious café that fills quicker than you’ll expect it to, so if you see a seat, make sure you grab it while you can. It’s no wonder it’s so popular when they’re offering up the menu they have.
Obviously they’ve got their classic coffee options, but what Olive and Bean are especially popular for is their sandwich bar and cake varieties. We’ve been going to Olive and Bean for some time to try different treats, and we’re still a ways off covering the full menu. All we know is that every time we see something new, it becomes our favourite treat.
Pink Lane Bakery is our number one choice for a sweet treat, and it isn’t hard to see why. Their range of options is unbeatable, and they do a perfect job of absolutely all of them.
They also offer savoury treats, and freshly baked bread – who could possibly resist the smell of freshly baked bread as they walk through the door? We’re drooling the second it wafts towards us, and we’re not ashamed.
There’s plenty of places that you can pop into to grab a coffee and a treat, but we reckon that you’ll love these options. Have you tried them, or is there somewhere else you prefer that we’ve missed? Let us know on our socials.
