If you think it’s too early to talk about Christmas decorations, then we’re afraid that this article isn’t for you. We’re all about getting our homes decorated for any season, and Christmas is where we really get to go for it. Whether you’re looking for some inspiration on how to decorate, or just want to see what we’re up to, these are some of our ideas.
Window stickers are a really easy way to decorate without having to put any major effort in, and can just be peeled off when you’re done with them. Some you can store for next year, or you can just dispose of them if you’re done with them and aren’t fussed about keeping hold of them. There’s all sorts of options, and you can even use spray snow if you want to really go for it, to make it your own. You’ll also be able to see it from outside, to spread the festive celebrations even more.
This is a particularly popular option if you enjoy hosting friends and regularly have your table set for dinners. We tend to go for brightly coloured candle sticks, a Christmassy table runner, and some pinecones to create a cosy centrepiece that makes the place feel nice and festive without going way over the top. You can personalise this to however you’d like, meaning you can make it really unique and visual, and we bet it’ll impress any guests that you have around the holiday season too.
A lot of renters worry about getting a Christmas tree, as it can feel like a huge addition that takes up loads of space and then have nowhere to store it for the rest of the year. Well, we’ve got this covered – not only do our apartments come with plenty of storage to make putting things away easier, but there’s also loads of different size trees that you can look into if you’re not keen on the idea of a full 7-footer taking up half your living room. We’re a fan of the 3-foot trees that sit nicely on a side table, giving the place a welcoming Christmassy vibe without feeling like you’re trapped in a forest.
There’s more to making your home feel Christmassy than purely decorating – bringing in the scent of Christmas will make the place feel instantly more welcoming and cosy, and is a great way to make a big change with minimal effort. Whether you’re a fan of candles and wax melts, or prefer something that you can just leave unattended, like a reed diffuser or a plug-in air freshener, there are plenty of options for everyone. Our go-to Christmas scents are typically orange and cinnamon blends, or anything vanilla-based that makes the place smell like baking – but fresh pine scents are also a popular choice.
How do you like to decorate for the festive season? Whether you like to go all-out or prefer to keep things a bit more subtle, we’d love to see. Tag us on socials to share your décor.
