Father’s Day is coming up fast, and we want to make sure that all the dads out there are getting a little treat to celebrate. Whether you’re looking to go all-out and celebrate it big-style, or want to keep things on the down-low and be a bit more subtle, we’ve got a few ideas that we think will be perfect.
Keeping it Low-key
A lot of Dads aren’t interested in a big rigmarole for Father’s Day, and we respect that. Going more low-key doesn’t mean that it isn’t as important; it’s about knowing what they want and letting them really enjoy it. Spending quality time together is more important than any gift, so why not plan out a few things to do as a family for the day – that could be a Sunday Lunch, a big walk to their favourite place, or even just a round of golf and a card game. You don’t have to go wild to show that you care, and knowing what kind of fuss your dad likes goes a long way for this.
Get Out For The Day
If your Dad’s a keen rambler, bike rider, or even just likes to get out and get stuck into some historical stuff, planning a day out is a great option. There are always loads of places to explore for a hike or a ramble, and you’ll never run out of cycle routes – or if that isn’t quite his style but he’s into his museums, this is also a great day out to spend together. Schedule a lunch at his favourite spot and you’ve got yourself a cracking Father’s Day plan.
Sharing Memories
For some people, Father’s Day isn’t so much a celebration but a time to remember. Whether you’ve lost your dad, or don’t have the best relationship with him, sometimes just taking the time to reminisce is a much more meaningful approach and provides more comfort. For those who don’t acknowledge Father’s Day, we understand that too, and encourage you to spend it however works best for you. That could be spending it with other family that are important to you, or with friends who feel the same.
However you choose to celebrate, we hope that you have a great day and would love to hear about it via our socials.
