3 Ways to Spring into the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend

The sun is on the way, and so is the long-awaited Easter Bank Holiday Weekend (finally!); so, to make the most of the weather and hopefully some time off, we’ve put together a list of fun events for you to give a go this weekend. Whether you’re looking for a weekend jam-packed full of trips or have your mind set on a few cosy days surrounded by easter eggs, we’ve got you covered.

Makers Markets

Bringing together a variety of the best food, drinks, and creative craft producers in Greater Manchester, the Maker’s Market will be at the Quayside in Media City each day of the Bank Holiday this year, so where better to grab cheesecakes, plants, pottery, and some of the best crepes we’ve ever eaten?

The Makers Markets run throughout the year across the Northwest, but we can’t wait to see what Easter treats we can find this weekend – we’ll be on the hunt for Easter eggs!

Swap Shop at Smoke and Mirrors Bar

The Smoke & Mirrors Bar in Altrincham and fashion start-up Secondhand Styling UK have partnered to bring a swap shop to the streets of Manchester – a great option for those who have a wardrobe full of things they don’t really wear and are dreaming of new clothes.

Bring along up to 12 items of clothing that you no longer want and are in good condition and swap them for a card and tokens when you arrive. The founder of Secondhand Styling UK, Lucy Norris, is also going to be there to give some helpful info around the benefits of swapping, how to reduce your carbon footprint, and some styling tips and advice too. You guys know we love anything sustainable!

ManiFest at The Oast House

Taking place on the Oast House’s spacious outdoor terrace with a stage and a busy schedule of bands, solo artists, and duos, ManiFest is going to be one of the most exciting Easter Sunday activities in Manchester.

To celebrate, the Northern artist Sam Porter has painted a new mural onto The Oast Stage which will be revealed on the day – giving the festival attendees the first exclusive look.

We can’t wait to get out this weekend and make the most of everything on in Manchester – so what have you got planned? Tag us in our socials and let us know. We’ll be over here taking care of business and bulk-buying mini-eggs before they disappear again for another year.
