Bonfire Night is getting closer, and we’re plotting out where we want to be to celebrate. Newcastle has got plenty to offer all year round, and Bonfire Night is no different – so here are our top picks if you’re new to toon or want to explore somewhere else this year.
This is one of the most popular displays in the North East, with around 20,000 people attending each year – and 20,000 can’t be wrong. Saltwell offer more than just fireworks, with fairground rides and street entertainers to really enhance the evening, giving you an incredible night to remember.
Newcastle Racecourse is a great option if you love the funfair aspect to Bonfire Night. Offering facepainting, an impressive range of rides, and of course a huge firework display, this is one of our favourite places to be. They also offer face painting, so if you want to let your inner child out for Bonfire Night, this is the place for you.
A little further out, but we cannot tell you how worth it attending the Tynemouth Cricket Club is. Watch the professional display on the coast, surrounded by fairground rides and food stalls, giving you plenty to do and explore ahead of the display itself.
We can’t wait to celebrate Bonfire Night again this year, and we hope that you’re excited too – are you attending any of these events, or heading off somewhere else? We’d love to know! Tag us on socials today.
