As Autumn finally starts to settle into Manchester, we’ve whacked the heating on at home and the Manchester rainy season has hit us again, so, it’s time to make your tastebuds dance with our favourite winter drinks. There’s nothing better than sitting in a massive armchair, sipping on a hot chocolate as the windows steam up and you dig into a good book – are we wrong? We found you the perfect spots to try in Manchester this winter for the perfect hot chocolate experience.

Loaf

With 3 locations across the city, Loaf is a specialist bakery and hot beverage café that are so cute and pink it hurts (in a good way, trust us!). Loaf has locations in Affinity, Oxford Street, and Selfridges in the Trafford Centre – so wherever you are in the city, a Loaf isn’t far away. With a selection of cakes, hot drinks, and other bits and bobs available, this is somewhere not to miss in the city. We can’t recommend their Oreo loafs enough.

So, what makes their hot chocolates extra special? Well, they are made with real chocolate pellets – the most scrumptious sweet treat a girl could want. This is somewhere to absolutely tickle you pink and also tickle your tastebuds this winter. Why not head down to one of their three locations and pick up the perfect piping drink to enjoy, whilst you sit and watch the world go by?

Cocoa Cabana

Next on our list of must-tries this winter is Cocoa Cabana, with arguably one of the most aesthetically pleasing hot chocolates in Manchester. Cocoa Cabana currently has two locations in Manchester – one in Didsbury and one in Ancoats. With two prime locations, you could easily pop in on your lunch break or even after work to catch up with a. friend or even enjoy some you time with your favourite drink.

What makes this hot chocolate ever so delish is that it is all made from their own chocolate – fun fact, Cocoa Cabana is a chocolatier – and if this doesn’t tempt you into a sweet treat, we’re not sure what will. This year, their seasonal drink of choice is a pistachio hot chocolate… making us go nuts over this divine delight.

Caramello of Didsbury

Based south of the city centre, just a quick hop on the Pink Line tram, and you’ll find the amazing Caramello of Didsbury. Serving everything from Sunday Dinners to pancakes, and hot chocolates to Babycinos – this sweet spot is a perfect place for an afternoon hot chocolate with a mate. This artisan bar is a must-go-to and what makes it so special is that all their ingredients are locally sourced and everything is made fresh in-house on a day-to-day basis – gosh, we love a locally sourced independent business, duh.

With a range of hot beverages, their hot chocolates are something to scream about! With added extras in your hot chocolates, including Nutella and Lotus, this is not just an ordinary hot chocolate – with a Peanut Butter option also on the menu. So why not jump on the tram and go pull up a chair in this beautiful café for a stunning taste of sweetness with their selection of hot chocolates? Plus, it looks super cool inside and is one of our favourite spots in Manchester for a winter warmer.

So, get cosy in our 3 favourite spots in Manchester for a hot chocolate this winter – something to warm the soul and make you feel good in the middle of the miserable Manchester rain.
