Candlelight: A Tribute to Oasis

If there’s one thing you have to do when you’re in Manchester, it’s something Oasis-related. Get down to Halle St Peters on 14^th November and experience Oasis classics like you’ve never seen them before. The Northern String Quartet do a stunning job, this will be a night that you’ll remember for a long time.

David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away)

If you visited the Van Gogh exhibitions previously, this will be right up your street. Welcome to sixty years of Hockney’s work, with state-of-the-art projections and a revolutionary sound system, you have the opportunity to explore the world through his eyes. This is the first time that the show has left London, so if you want to get involved, this is your chance. Doors open 10^th December, and run through to 25^th January.

Halloween In The City

If you haven’t already seen the Manchester Monsters, this is your sign to get out into town and follow the routes to see them. Coming back 25^th October – 31^st October, huge inflatable monsters take over prime spots in the city, as well as the Weekend event of Halloween In The City, including games, competitions, costumes, arts and crafts, DJs, various live performances, and an incredible Halloween procession.

Christmas Markets

You think that we’re going to do an entire article about things to do this time of year and NOT talk about the Christmas Markets? You know us better than that. We absolutely live for the markets each year, and we’re counting down the days until they come back on 8^th November through to 22^nd December. Whether you’re looking for fun presents, tasty treats, or just an enjoyable walk around, the markets are the perfect choice.
