The most wonderful time of year has finally arrived! Manchester has upped their festivities in comparison to what we’ve seen in previous years. The expansion of the Manchester Christmas Markets out to Piccadilly Gardens and a new Father Christmas has given Christmas in Manchester a new lease of life.
If you hadn’t already noticed, Manchester has been slowly filling up with more and more Christmas shoppers over the last couple of weeks. Unless you enjoy fighting your way through the Christmas crowds, it’s worth remembering that Manchester is a huge city, full of beautiful suburbs – and what better time to escape the city centre to explore all that Manchester has to offer.
We all know the beauty of Manchester’s award-winning Christmas Markets, but why not venture out this Christmas and explore Ramsbottom, one of Manchester’s most trendy towns at the moment. Only a short bus journey out of Manchester City Centre will bring you to their Festive Farmers Market, taking place on the 14th and 15th of December in the Town Centre. This two-day event will host food and drink stalls, as well as craft producers and artisan gift makers – so you won’t be missing out on any Christmas shopping.
Want to stay a little closer to home? The Lowry Outlet’s Makers Market is back for the Christmas period with everything from food and drink to artwork and gifts. Whilst you’re there, MediaCityUKis a great place to escape the city centre crowds and feel festive with your friends and family. With an ice rink, light displays and pantomimes at the Lowry Theatre, it’s only a 15-minute tram journey from St. Peters Square!
