Creative apprenticeship

If you’re anything like us and have always considered yourself to be a creative, whether that be through arts or your creative imagination, but have always been told that creativity won’t get you a good job, we’re here to prove that myth wrong with some exciting opportunities we’ve found in the creative industry.

Hair professional (Level 2)

Do you have a passion for hair? Or just making people look good and feel good? Salon Magic Mirror, in Manchester City Centre, are currently on the lookout for their next hairdressing apprentice to join them for 24 months. In this role you will assist in keeping the salon running smoothly, working alongside qualified hairdressers, as well as training in cutting skills with Michaeljohn Training School, a multi-award-winning training provider. If you want to take your first step into hairdressing, then this is a great place to start.

Content Creator (Level 3)

If you’re creative but drawing and painting aren’t your strong suit then going down the digital path with graphic design might be the right thing for you. This apprenticeship is perfect if you want to work closely with a team of creatives to build your graphic design skills, have your ideas heard, and gain knowledge on 3D rendering software’s. In just 15 months, you will qualify with a Level 3 diploma, and have the possibility of staying on in a full-time position. What’s not to love?

The Creative Digital Design Professional Degree Apprenticeship Programme (Level 6)

Are you umming and ahing between going to uni or full-time work after finishing your A-levels? Well then Manchester Met University might have the perfect solution for you. Their Creative Digital Design Professional Degree Apprenticeship provides a blend between higher education and work-based learning, so you can gain your degree and work experience at the same time! This course works by partnering with employers to bring apprenticeships in roles such as Digital, UI, Web, App, Front-end Designer, with progressions towards higher level positions like Creative Director or Studio Manager. Make sure to sign up to their mailing list to get notified of any roles that become available, you’ll want to get in there before it’s too late.

Business and Digital apprenticeships

For those eager to get into the office and start their careers as young working professionals, these opportunities are a great steppingstone to experiencing life in the office and the ins and outs of how a business operates.

Marketing apprentice (Level 3)

Mark Bratt Travel is a unique kind of travel agency that puts together tailor-made itineraries for individual travellers. As a Marketing Apprentice you’ll have a part to play in almost every aspect of the business, from brainstorming creative ideas and working on the company website, to event planning and drafting marketing communications, and much more. Alongside working in the office, you will receive training online delivered by The Juice Academy, who will ensure that you receive your Level 3 diploma at the end of the 15 months. Applications for this apprenticeship close on the 20th of January so make sure to get yours in ASAP!

IT Solutions Technician (Level 3)

If you have an interest in tech and don’t like every day to be the same then this apprenticeship could be for you. As an IT Solutions Technician at HPE CDS you will be responsible for handling a wide range of service requests, from routine repair and maintenance of hardware/peripherals, to configuring components and supporting technical issues for large, complex multi-platform systems. This role will require you to constantly be on the move so a driving license is required, but no need for a car as a company car will be provided. The apprenticeship is 15 months long and includes remote classroom learning with the ATP, after which you will qualify in level 3 IT and have plenty of opportunities for roles in the industry.

Sales Executive (Level 4)

If you have a natural flare for sales and want to build on your skills by working alongside some of the best salespeople that Molson Coors Brewing Company has to offer, then their sales apprenticeship will be a great starting point. This 18-month role is customer facing and you will manage your own diary, make sales, and develop your relationship building skills, before qualifying with a level 4 sales diploma. This role comes with many perks, including a high salary, generous holiday allowance, and a company car, so if you’re interested make sure to apply quick before it gets snatched up.

Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship (Level 6)

This apprenticeship is the real deal as you’ll be a part of a team working on live multi-million-pound projects, giving you a unique starting point in the industry and an opportunity to make your mark and have your ideas heard early on in your career. You’ll support project managers with a wide range of tasks, report on projects, and communicate with staff from all departments. Are you up for the challenge? This 4-year role is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain a Degree in Project Management, an APM Project Management qualification, and not to mention heaps of work experience for your professional CV.

Pharmacy Assistant (Level 2)

As a level 2 pharmacy apprentice, you’ll be responsible for taking in and handing out prescriptions, managing stock, selling medicine, and advising patients about medications. The role will be based 4 days in the pharmacy and 1 day in college, so you get a healthy mix of work experience and classroom-based learning. This really is a great place to start if you want to work in hospitals, pharmacies, or even the air force as a pharmaceutical nurse.

Childcare Apprentice (Level 2)

As a childcare apprentice, you’ll need to be patient, caring, and of course, love babies and children! If that sounds like you then you’re in luck as Tiddlywinks Ancoats are currently looking for their next apprentice to take over some important duties in the nursery. In a normal day you’ll support the children in their daily routines, plan activities and carry out assessments, and maintain a happy and safe environment, all while training towards you level 2 qualification. After the 12 months are up, you’ll have the possibility of progressing within the company or staying on to complete your level 3.

Dental Nurse (Level 3)

Smy-Clinics Limited are offering a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in dentistry to join them as a Dental Nurse Apprentice on an 18-month basis. The role will be widely varied and will include working closely with the dentist and learning from them, updating computer records and taking notes, as well as making sure the surgery is running smoothly by keeping the cleanliness to a high standard, prepping equipment for treatment, and taking care of administrative tasks when needed.
