Scoop!

While Scoop! don’t just serve strictly traditional flavours, they really do know how to nail the basics. We’re big fans of their bubblegum, mint choc chip, and, of course, vanilla scoops, as well as what really sets them apart — their toppings. Choose from tasty sprinkles of treats like honeycomb, oreo, marshmallow, and meringue and elevate your classic ice cream this summer.

Ginger’s Comfort Emporium

Ginger’s Comfort Emporium was started as a passion project by Claire Kelsey back in 2010, out of a renovated ice cream van. Now a well-loved Afflecks staple, Ginger’s Comfort Emporium are known for their small-batch, inventive flavours, selling seasonal scoops like the vegan Malted Coconut Milk, Chocolate, Ginger and Rosemary, and Brown Butter and Sam’s Bakehouse Pie. One word: drool-worthy.

Black Milk

If you haven’t heard of Black Milk Cereal, where have you been? These Northern Quarter favourites are renowned for their indulgent desserts as well as their famous sauces, spreads, and treats, available to buy in-store or online.

So, what’s on offer? We’re glad you asked…

Indulgent ice cream shakes, sundaes, and traditional ice cream in flavours ranging from the (more tame) Rum and Raisin to the decidedly more decadent Biscoff, Oreo, and white chocolate. Delicious.

Lazy Sundae

If you’re looking for something decadent with a twist, Lazy Sundae is the perfect place for you. Selling unusual flavours like Earl Grey Biscoff, Brown Sugar, and Watermelon Oat from their Northern Quarter premises, it’s no surprise that they’re now a Manchester staple — and are planning to expand with a new store in the Arndale.

The best part? Lazy Sundae don’t just stop at inventive ice cream flavours. If you’re not quite fancying a few scoops of the good stuff, Lazy Sundae have you covered, with absolutely mega fluffy pancakes, bubble teas, and iced coffees all on offer too.
