The best places to see the Fireworks in Manchester

The clocks have gone back and the frosty weather has kicked in, it must mean that bonfire night is approaching! Prepare to see the nights sky full of colourful lights and sparkle, as Manchester has numerous options available to get out and see the fireworks this November!

With Guy Fawkes Night taking place on Tuesday 5th of November, Manchester City Council have arranged numerous displays between the 1st of November and the 5th of November for everyone to enjoy!

Cringle Park
Sunday 3rd November
Free to attend

Cringle Park’s Fireplace display takes place the Sunday before Guy Fawkes Night. Located in Burnage, the family friendly park is being transformed to host a funfair, bonfire and fireworks. The firework display will begin at 7.30pm.

Heaton Park
Tuesday 5th November

Heaton Park has one of the largest Bonfire Night Displays in the region. Complete with a huge funfair, loads of food and drink stalls and Manchester’s most epic fireworks display, you won’t want to miss this one. The bonfire is due to be lit at 7.30pm, followed by their breathtaking display of fireworks.

Platt Fields Park
Tuesday 5th November
Free to attend

Platt Fields Park is probably one of the better-known displays in Manchester, popular with students and families alike as it’s just down the road from Rusholme’s Curry Mile. The event is free to enter, and the funfair opens at 5. The bonfire is going to be lit at 7.30pm, followed by their fireworks display.

Wythenshawe Park
Tuesday 5th November
Free to attend

If you travel slightly further out of the centre, you’ll get to the beautiful Wythenshawe park. Set across 109 acres of land, the park is the perfect place to host bonfire night. The fireworks ‘extravaganza’ seems to get bigger and better every year, with more and more people travelling south of the city to see the display. The fireworks are due to begin at 7.30pm, followed by the bonfire.

Manchester City Council has advised arriving early to all of the displays. With added safety precautions this year, the Council are urging people to avoid bringing large bags and to travel using public transport where possible. Don’t forget to arrive early and wrap up warm!

We hope you find an event near you, and enjoy the festivities. If you’re out to see the fireworks over the next couple of days, be sure to take a picture and tag us on Instagram!
