Working with University Academy 92

Manchester Apartments are extremely pleased to be working with University Academy 92, a higher education institution located in Old Trafford. UA92 was first announced in 2017 and co-funded by Lancaster University, as well as members of The Class of 92; Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt and Ryan Giggs.

The university offers broader courses than traditional degrees that are designed to enhance life skills as well as employability. Their main campus, previously known as Kellogg’s HQ, will soon be catering for up to 6,500 students.

Accommodation and Transport

Westpoint currently caterers for both students and professionals, with over 300 tenants residing in the building. At Manchester Apartments, we’re eager to give our occupants the chance to build friendships whilst living with us, and for that reason we plan a lot of events in the large communal areas at Westpoint. Whether it’s watching football or tennis with a nice drink, partaking in group dancing classes or perhaps joining in on a yoga session – we have a wide variety of activities/events happening for our residents to get involved in.

Located in Old Trafford, Westpoint is a stone’s throw from Manchester city centre. A 5-minute stroll from your apartment will bring you to Trafford Bar Metrolink station, and thanks to Manchester’s award-winning transport options, there are regular trams heading towards the city centre. For students of UA92, the commute from Westpoint to the university campus couldn’t be easier; 1 stop on the Metrolink will bring you to Old Trafford, with a short walk to the university. Students can go from their beds to the lecture theatre in less than 20 minutes. Westpoint is also conveniently located close to MediaCityUK, Manchester’s up-and-coming home of media, leisure and shopping. Currently home to TV giants BBC and ITV Granada Studios.
