Sniff Out Manchester’s Best Dog-friendly Hang Outs

Dogs really are man’s (or woman’s) best friend; proven by the fact that nearly 10 million dogs reside in the UK. If you have a furry four-legged friend who you’re looking to get out and about with, or perhaps you miss your pooch whilst you’re away studying, then we’ve got the best possible remedy – heading to one of Manchester’s many dog-friendly cafes, bars or restaurants! We’ve found some paw-fect spots across the city where you’ll be welcomed with your pooch, or you can just get your fix of other peoples’ and maybe even pet them too (if you ask nicely).

Cottonopolis

Top shelf, freshly made Japanese food and unique cocktails with an Asian twist, it couldn’t sound more perfect, right? Well, wrong – as you can enjoy your beautifully made sashimi with a generous side of sausage dog! (Obviously to admire not to eat, and no promises on the breed). Cottonopolis has been a dog-friendly restaurant for ages and many take advantage of the ability to enjoy an amazing atmosphere and truly gorgeous food with their furry bff’s by their side. Good job guys.

Trof

There’s nothing better than getting together some mates and heading for a hearty plate of proper northern grub together…unless you can dog watch too. Trof is the local to many a cool canine so we can pretty much guarantee you will meet some pups to befriend, although we recommend you keep an eye on your roast or you might end up unwittingly sharing it!

Rudy’s

We couldn’t miss our favourite pizzeria off the list, when the place is named after the founder’s dog now could we?! Pop into one of their 3 Manchester restaurants and grab a slice whilst giving your dog their evening walkies… No one will ever know! Or maybe get your dinner to go and win some brownie points by turning up at home with an exercised pooch as well as the cities best pizza. Thank us later.

Northern Eudaimonia

Situated on the New Islington Marina, this place is a MUST for dog lovers. The dessert café doesn’t only cater to sweet-toothed humans but also has ice cream available for hungry hounds too. Soak up the sun or have a well-earnt rest by the water and try to choose from the tempting treats on offer at this recently opened gem.

Peaky Blinders

Don your flat cap and adopt your best Brummy accent before heading to this 1920’s inspired bar and restaurant, the namesake of the fantastic gangster series. Whether it’s a quick post-work drink you’re after, or an impressive sharing platter to tuck into with pals, this place has you covered – and you guessed it, four-legged friends are also very welcome (especially if they too have a flat cap and/or waistcoat!).

We would love to see photographic evidence of you and your fur child enjoying the cities top dog haunts, as well as any cutie paws you meet along the way, so please do share them with us via our social media channels. If you have any other places, you’d recommend then let us know so we can give them a shout out.
