3 Banging Places to Visit on Bonfire Night in Manchester

Wanting a big bang this bonfire night? Well, then you’re in luck. We’ve put together a list of places where you can watch the fireworks with your mates. Wherever you live in Manchester, we have scoured both the north and the south to find you the best events, so you can head out to watch the fireworks with your friends and celebrate in style.

Venturing just outside the city centre, you’ll find St. Marks Cricket Club in Stockport.

A cricket ground in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Stockport, St. Marks is hosting a fireworks display on Saturday 4th November that you will not want to miss, trust us.

Gates open at 6pm with the fireworks expected to start around 8pm, which gives you and your mates plenty of time to get to the venue, have a bite to eat and even a few drinks if you fancy it.

As well as the fireworks display, the cricket club are also putting on a DJ and multiple attractions to keep you entertained whilst you wait. What’s not to love?

Tickets: £6.50

Directions: Train from Manchester Piccadilly to Stockport and a 10-minute walk to the venue.

Prestwich Golf Club

Just to the north of the city is the Prestwich Golf Club, and this event has promised a proper bonfire. Sign us up.

The fireworks are set to go off with a bang at 6:45pm – a little earlier if you have other plans but want to squeeze those fireworks in. While this is a family-friendly event, they have a wide range of activities for you and your mates to enjoy that are sure to bring out your inner child to play.

Tickets: £5.00 which gives you access to two fireworks displays over the evening.

Directions: Bus from St. Peter Square to King’s Road and then a 5-minute walk to the venue.

Have plans on bonfire weekend and you want to celebrate a little early this year? Well then, we’ve got you covered. Just south of the city centre in Chorlton, Cavendish Community Primary School are hosting their own firework display –and all ages are welcome. This firework display is the 16th display the school have held – so it must be good, right?

The school are opening their gates at 6.00 pm with fireworks starting at 6.30 pm and is also offering a large selection of food, drinks, and entertainment to suit all ages.

Tickets: £5.00 which gives you access to two fireworks displays over the evening.

Directions: Pink Line tram line to Burton Road and walk 3 minutes to the school entrance.
