Introduction
With exclusive, high-end shopping at one end and the historical Castlefield at the other, Deansgate is known as the main artery that runs through Manchester and is the longest road in the city at over one mile in length. A road with ancient historical notoriety, Deansgate was formerly a Roman route that connected the Mamucium settlement in Castlefield and the River Medlock.
